| | | | Why does my washing feel harsh? | | | | Under dosing of detergent allows natural mineral salts from the water supply to deposit back into fibres during rinsing. Ensure that the correct dosage of detergent is being used.
The most effective way to restore articles to a soft condition is to give them a short soak in a solution of Calgon using 40ml to 5 litres of water. (Approx 2 tablespoons per gallon of water). This will release any build up of minerals in the fibres. Regular washing with the recommended dosage of detergent will help to preserve the articles in the future.
If a fabric conditioner is being used and the wash load still feels harsh or hard, then the conditioner could be dispensing prematurely. This occurs if the fabric conditioner compartment is overfilled. | | |
